Independant Review on Vitour Tempesta Enzo 140TW
Thanks to Chris at Diversion Garage for the feedback on the Vitour Tempesta Enzo 140TW.
Chris is a front runner in Street Class in the Time Attack Qld and QR Sprint Series in his GR Yaris. Street Class limits the user to 120TW and above and prohibits the use of “super” 200TW tyres to keep costs down.
Chris has been using the AD09r’s all season and knows the tyre well. Although the car is optimized for the AD09r’s he was able to run similar times with the Enzo’s recently on a very hot day at QR across 4 track layouts.
Checkout Chris’s feedback below:
Overall the tyres are quite good, my personal experience is that they are probably a little less forgiving to heat then the AD09. Once they “go off” they need to cool down before becoming grippy again. I could do with some camber adjustments, the rears almost have a ring on the inside that’s not getting touched. The camber is still not as wild as I can throw at it.
Track heat and ambient in the afternoon was feral, I haven’t gone through my data however to get exact temps.
All previous PB’s set on AD09r’s
National – 1.4 seconds faster (New PB)
Switchback- Matched PB
Clubman – 0.021 off PB
Sprint – 0.40 seconds off PB
Chris did mention that the wear rate compared to the AD09r’s looks a little higher, this will be confirmed with further testing.
We find the side walls of the Enzo’s are very stiff so added camber and lower pressures seem to aide in performance.
We will be having a BLACK FRIDAY SALE across all Vitour tyres so keep an eye on this page
