Success for Vitour Tempesta P1’s at Noosa Hill Climb

Another great result at Noosa Hill Climb “The Hill” for the Tempesta P1’s.

Two competitors used Vitour Tempesta P1’s at the “The Hill” on 19th and 20th October 2024. Here’s their feedback:

Toyota Supra with 295/30R18

We were interested in how the P1’s would go in an event where you don’t have a warmup lap to scrub them in and generate heat. From circuit testing so far when on the first session of the day, the P1’s reach optimal grip on the 2nd lap. On all other later sessions they are good out of the gate.

This is a small trade off to having a lot higher heat tolerance and the ability to last multiple laps with out drop off.

On the first run, although the Supra spun the rears through 2nd and 3rd the terminal speed at the first corner was on par with previous years and achieved a PB straight up by 0.5 seconds. And even though there was upto 2hrs between runs, the tyres retained enough heat to be fast off the line on each subsequent run.

Finishing the weekend with a 59.88. An improvement of 1.2 seconds over the previous PB. Which gave the Supra 2nd place in class behind a Porsche GT3. And 13th outright out of 115 competitors. Driven 2hrs to and from the track on the Tempesta P1’s.

The AK Racing prepped Skoda took 2 seconds off its PB before snapping an axel on launch. And when turning 295’s all around, when you watch the video you can see why.
